Two weeks ago, some of my flat-mates and I went to London for a day trip. We took a bus tour (by far the most touristy thing I've done since I've been here), and it was really fun. We got to see a lot of the city really quickly, but we didn't get to go inside anywhere. But here are some photos of some of the major sites!
Some monuments in the Marble Arch area
The Queen's Gate, not at Buckingham Palace but an entrance/exit to a royal park
Marble Arch!
London architecture
Trafalgar Square!
I'm pretty sure our guide said that this is the theatre in which The Phantom of the Opera premiered and is still running.
We got super close to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben!
These are the best pictures I could get of Westminster Abbey. Don't worry; I plan on going back!
The London Eye
Crossing London Bridge...yes, London Bridge is real. Don't let people try to convince you otherwise.
Saint Paul's Cathedral
Tower Bridge at dusk...so beautiful!
And that wraps up our trip to London. Sorry there aren't any photos of Buckingham Palace, but we didn't get there until after dark. I'll go back and get some really awesome daytime pics of the palace!
I think that's all for now. I've been really busy with my tutorials lately, but tomorrow I'm going to a ball at the Oxford Union. So look out for some photos of that.
Miss and love you all!
