A Few Days in Paris

Hello all,

How crazy is it that I can say, "I just went to Paris for a few days."?!? I still can't believe I went to PARIS! It was incredibly beautiful! It's my second favorite city in the world (Oxford is my absolute favorite). The architecture is typically Parisian and gorgeous. I had a great time, and I got to see so much of the city in just 2 days! Here are some photos:

My first morning out in Paris. A view of the Seine River as I make my way to Notre Dame.

The front of Notre Dame de Paris

The famous rose window of Notre Dame from the outside

And from the inside

Original chandelier...AWESOME!

The altar and tabernacle of Notre Dame de Paris. I went to Mass there in French. That's the fourth language I've heard Mass in since I've been in Europe...English, Latin, Italian, and French!

View from the top of the Towers of Notre Dame de Paris. Completely worth climbing 400 steps!

The Church of the Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart), on top of a huge hill, the highest point in Paris

L'arc de Triomphe

The tomb of France's Unknown Soldier is located under the Arc. We got there just in time to see the daily ceremony they perform in honor of the soldier.

Me at the Eiffel Tower at night!

Every hour on the hour, the tower twinkles for about five minutes. It's beautiful!

The Church of Saint Augustine...after I had just finished studying the theology of Saint Augustine at Oxford!

And that's about it for my trip to Paris. Oh, except...

Having dinner on the Champs Elysees!

While I was in Paris, my friend Rachel and her family let me hang out with them for a whole day and a half. They are the nicest family! Thanks for everything, Gribling Family!!!

I had the most amazing time in Paris! But alas, this post is long enough.

Love and miss you all!
